The Capital District Transportation Committee has approved its Draft 2023-24 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). “CDTC’s UPWP identifies transportation planning activities that are to be undertaken in the region to further develop the policies and recommendations contained in the adopted metropolitan transportation plan, New Visions 2050.”
Capital District Trails Plan: Advancing a Vision for Connecting Communities. The Current CDTC Trails Plan was published in January of 2019. It envisions 280 miles of trails comprised of 18 mostly off road core trails spanning the four county CDTC Region. The Core Trails would be bolstered by 34 supporting trails. It looks at the current trail system and the benefits of growing the network.
The CDTC Active Transportation Planning Advisory Committee generally meets the second Tuesday of each month and deals with issues ranging from public education to facility planning.
