Intersection of Rosendale Road and Old River Road in Niskayuna.

This intersection has been studied for a while and is listed on the County Website as approved for 2023.  Three options were under consideration at a public meeting in February of 2021.  That presentation and the video of the meeting can be viewed on the County Website.  The intersection is of particular interest due to the access to nearby Lion’s Park and the current hazardous conditions of the intersection and the connecting segment of Rosendale Road climbing to Route 7.

City of Schenectady Albany and Crane Street Linkage Study.

This project was approved for CDTC funding through its Unified Planning Work Program in 2022.  CDTC describes the project as follows:  ” perform a traffic analysis in the Albany Street and Crane Street corridors of the City of Schenectady to be used in determining what transportation related projects would most benefit the Mount Pleasant and Hamilton Hill neighborhoods by improving the flow of vehicular traffic, parking availability, safety for pedestrians, cyclists, the disabled, and public transit riders, and the economic success of the commercial businesses”.  We have requested an update on the status of the project from the City of Schenectady.
